L'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha ufficializzato le Nominations in gara per la 75esima edizione degli Oscar che avrà luogo il 23 Marzo al Kodak Theatre di Los Angeles: svettano Chicago con 13 Nominations, Gangs of New York con 10, The Hours con 9, Il Pianista con 7, Il Signore degli Anelli: Le Due Torri, Road to Perdition (Era mio Padre) e Frida  con 6. Segnaliamo con estremo piacere la Nomination ad Ed Harris come Migliore Attore non Protagonista per The Hours, sperando che sia finalmente la volta buona che la celebre statuetta possa arridere per la prima volta ad uno dei più grandi attori in circolazione, e confermiamo la Nomination come Migliore Attore Protagonista al mitico Jack Nicholson per About Schmidt, viatico al quarto Oscar personale in arrivo.
